terms to the present fellsheen and other of the Chinese not em- -ployed as laborers, viz., a rental of one-fifth of all produce

I shall be glad if you will interest yourself in this matter and let me have your reply as early as possible.

There is room on the estate for at least 1,000 chinese, but I propose to make a start with a small number and increase later. The men I trust will be specially chosen as

(1) Agriculturalists

(2) 10 or 20 with machinery experience (Motor Tractors if

possible).

(3) Good physique, strong and healthy.
